Number 12 - Bob and Bee: The Weekly Blob
More blobs. This time red.
I think I had something on in the background, but I can’t remember what. Possibly something with a slightly odd energy… which feels about right.
I started with a few loose shapes. No plan. Just placing them down and seeing what stuck.

Then the usual thing happened.
One became a long, slightly concerned worm.
Another grew too many legs.
One clearly needed a moustache.
A couple decided they were mid-conversation.
I never set out to draw creatures. It’s always just shapes first.
But once the eyes go on, that’s it. They’ve got opinions.
Adding the darker colour shifted things again. Suddenly they felt more connected. Like they belonged to the same slightly strange world.
I love this stage. When it’s still a bit scrappy. When nothing matters too much. When it can just be a page.

No brief. No outcome. Just… seeing what turns up.
Feel free to download the blobby page and make your own creatures if you fancy it. I’d love to see what appears.
